Lesson Details

Another evocatively titled piece, The Pipers Warning to His Master - also known by the gaelic title A Cholla mo Rùn - tells the story of a man called Colla MacDonald and the warning that his piper provided to allow him to escape capture by the Campbells in Argyll. Chris looks at some of the technical challenges, not least of which the embari and chedari, as well as phrasing this strong tune.
