The second of two instalments:
This terrible encounter between the MacGregors and the Clan Colquhoun dates back to 1602. The event took place near Loch Lomond and the MacGregors, who came out victorious, showed no mercy when fiercely slaughtering the Clan Colquhoun. However, reports of the merciless attack were communicated back to the king at the time, King James IV, and the result for the MacGregor’s was far worse than the cruelties they inflicted.
The score can be found in the Kilberry Book and the Piobaireachd Society Book 8.
