Lesson Details

A perpetual favourite of the mass pipe bands at any type of gathering, Highland Laddie is quite often seen as a simple beginners tune. However, it can be quite challenging to play because of the tempo pipers are normally expected to be able to play it at. In this lesson we look at a simplified setting that will allow us to bring the tune up to a performance tempo without tripping over too many doublings.
