Lesson Details

The Willie Ross collections of pipe music have in some ways become the ‘standard text’ for competing pipers, despite having quite a number of misprints. In this first lesson Roddy MacLeod jumps into the first of the five collections and looks through the tunes The Edinburgh Volunteers, The Pipers Bonnet and John MacKechnie, all of which are still heard frequently in competition. Watch out through this course for slight amendments to the original scores.
